History of the End of Buddhist Lent Day
The final day of Buddhist Lent falls on the 15th day of the 11th waxing moon. This day marks the end of the three months Rains-retreat known as ‘Buddhist Lent’ in which monks had earnestly dedicated themselves to the study of Buddhist scriptures and meditation practice.

1. อำเภอโพนพิสัย จังหวัดหนองคาย เป็นจุดชมที่มีชื่อเสียงที่สุด เดินทางได้สะดวก อยู่ไม่ไกลจากตัวจังหวัด ซึ่งอำเภอโพนพิสัยมีจุดชมบั้งไฟพญานาคหลายจุดครับ ที่แนะนำจุดแรก คือ บริเวณพุทธอุทยานนานาชาติ เป็นจุดที่เมื่อสองปีก่อนมีการบันทึกว่าพบบั้งไฟพญานาคมากที่สุด จุดนี้เองเป็นจุดที่มีการประกอบพิธีกรรมทางศาสนา มีการปล่อยโคม (จัดกิจกรรมโดยวัดพระธรรมกาย)
